But turmeric isn’t just a delicious part of a solid curry - it has incredible anti-inflammatory properties, and after millenia of use in Ayurvedic medicine, western science is catching on and realizing its potential cancer fighting and cystic fibrosis managing abilities.

Cold-pressed juice is a delicious, refreshing way to get all the nutrients from raw fruits and vegetables. If you have a cold-pressed juicer, try dropping a small bit of fresh turmeric root into your favorite juice for an anti-inflammatory boost!

Spice Up Your Baking
Take advantage of turmeric’s brilliant coloring by using it as food coloring! Add fresh turmeric root to icing, making your baked goods beautiful as well as beneficial. But remember - fresh turmeric root can stain so use gloves and an old cutting board to prepare.
Khepri Cafe’s Turmeric Smoothie
2 ripe bananas
1 Tbsp cacao
1 cup coconut milk
1 tsp maca root powder
1 Tbsp turmeric powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 leveled scoop collagen powder
1 cup ice
Blend together the bananas, cacao, coconut milk, maca root powder, turmeric, black
pepper, and collagen powder until smooth. Gradually add ice, and serve chilled.
Khepri Cafe’s Turmeric Salad Dressing
1 cup grape seed oil
3 Tbsp turmeric powder
1 Tbsp black pepper
2 Tbsp honey
Juice of 1 lemon
¼ cup poppy seeds
Combine ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until completely mixed, about 2 minutes. Drizzle over your favorite leafy greens for a bright, tangy dressing.
